Later, we decided to go for dinner at a local restaurant when an older gentleman and his lady friend came to our table to welcome us to the Yukon and were happy to tell us all about it. As our meals arrived, they went their way. At the end of the meal, what a surprise to be told that the gentleman had paid for our 4 meals. Amazing gesture from a complete stranger!

We visited the Liards Hot springs and decided to immerse ourselves. Heavenly!! There were 3 hot springs going from warm to hot to very very hot.

We also saw a herd of buffaloes by the road.

As we were staying in Watson Lake overnight, we visited the World-famous Watson Lake Sign Post Forest. As of 2004, there were 61,000 signs left behind from visitors from all over the world. Needless to say that we left one too.

Finally reached the Yukon on July 2nd, 2010.

July 1st - Enroute for Fort Nelson, BC. Once we reached Bow Summit the temperature had dropped to -2C and few snowflakes-brrrrrrrr!! Stayed at Muncho Lake, then onward to Watson Lake.
