Travelling the South Klondike Highway to Skagway for Day Trip.
Beautiful Emerald Lake - the rainbow like color of the lake result from blue-green light waves reflecting off the white sediment of the lake bottom. This white sediment, called marl, consists of fragments of decomposed shell mixed with clay.
Stopped in Carcross, YK
Tutshi Lake
Tormented Valley - a rocky desolate "moonscape" of stunted trees and small lake
Re-entering Alaska to visit Skagway
Middle Lake - Lake shows 2 different colors when separated by only a very narrow band of sand
Saw a black bear on the side of the road on our return trip
